Perry Groves believes Alex Sanchez would be an excellent signing for Arsenal – but claims the forward is on his way to Liverpool.



The Gunners are believed to have launched a £32million offer for the Barcelona star, who impressed at the World Cup with Chile.

But Premier League rivals Liverpool are also eyeing the 25-year-old and are keen to use the ex-Udinese man as a make-weight in the £80m deal which will take Luis Suarez to the Catalan giants.

And Groves insists Sanchez is set for a switch to Anfield this summer.

“Alex Sanchez would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “He fits their remit. He’s very good technically and has an excellent attitude
